Mobility - Low Intensity Pilates - Stretch - Breathwork/Meditation

Discover the difference Pilates can make to your life with this 8 week Pilates Beginners Course.


Start your journey towards a more toned, balanced and stronger body. This course works to improve your mobility and strengthen your core stability using a variety of Pilates positions. You will receive personal, hands-on attention from me to ensure that you have correct form and quality of movement in each exercise. This will be a low impact course where the intensity will build as you gain knowledge of how to perform quality movements.

At the end of the six weeks, you will have gained a deeper understanding of Pilates, it’s benefits, and the confidence and motivation to continue a practice of movement.  


This course is for you if you’re a total beginner to Pilates and would like to learn from scratch in a supportive environment with others who are also new to the practice!


Or, maybe you have been following online videos but would like to make sure that your form and alignment is correct.


This course is also for you if you’ve been practicing Pilates but would like to return to the fundamentals, perhaps following an injury or pregnancy.


In this course, you will learn the basics of Pilates. This includes:


  • How to safely and correctly do basic Pilates exercises

  • True core activation

  • Individual posture and alignment

  • The correct breathing technique to be able to use your core muscles effectively for Pilates exercises

  • How to use small pieces of equipment to make your workouts fun


During our course, you will receive personal attention from me and work at a slow pace that means you’ll learn the basics thoroughly, step by step. I will gently introduce progressions into the exercises when I feel that you have mastered the previous levels.


Each class will be low impact on your joints but has a strong impact on how you feel inside your skin as you feel your posture improve, your movements becoming easier and your mind clearer. Classes will gradually increase in intensity over the 8 weeks as you grow in strength and confidence and by the time we finish you will feel like a Pilates Pro.




What is Yoga Nidra Meditation & Breathwork? Yoga Nidra is a meditative nap, where you will lie back with a cooling eye pillow in your most comfortable position and follow my guidance as I bring your attention inwards and awaken your senses to the present moment. I am also an Oxygen Advantage Breathwork Instructor and like to incorporate some breathwork for recovery/anxiety reduction techniques into my meditations.


Throughout the 8 weeks you will have access to all the wonderful equipment at Evolve such as 5mm Pilates Mats, Bolsters, Blankets, Blocks and Wrist Supports to ensure you are as comfortable as possible for both your workout and your meditation

In case you are totally new to Pilates, it is a practice that consists of slow and controlled exercises performed with attention to muscle control. And there are so many benefits to brining Pilates into your life including

Functional mobility is described as any basic movement a person makes to perform day to day activities.

Our functional mobility session will incorporate dynamic and flowing movements that will help you to reach the full potential of your body’s movement. Moving through the joints that need to be mobile starting with your neck then shoulders, wrists, spine, hips and ankles. You release tension you didn't even realise you had and provide some TLC for joint and muscle vitality!

Matwork Pilates is a workout done with a range of Pilates exercises, mainly sitting or lying on a mat, making it very low impact and suitable for a wide range of clients. But don't be fooled, whilst you might not be out of breath, these workouts deliver a satisfying and spicy muscle burn. Pilates exercises have a continuous flow that emphasises length, alignment and core activation which is fantastic for posture, improving sleep and sculpting a beautifully toned body.
As the weeks go on, I will start to incorporate small pieces of equipment such as small ball, band and magic circle for creative and varied workouts to keep you on your toes!

Fun at Yoga


Stretching is the act of pulling a muscle from both ends (origin and insertion point) to release tension and tightness. Static stretching is what I refer to as Deep Stretching. It involves holding a position for a period of time which allows your muscles to loosen up, while increasing flexibility and range of motion.

By gradually slowing down the body, as opposed to just stopping cold, we maximize the benefits from your Pilates workout. Stretching isn’t just for the muscles. It also helps harmonize your mind, relax your mood, and relieve stress.
